Jalandhar, December 14, 2012: City and its surrounding areas had light to moderate rain during the last 24 hours.
The farmers are of the opinion that the rain is good for seasonal crops. The rain accompanied with the high velocity winds last night brought down temperature considerably.
In an informal chat, the city doctors opined that the light rain will reduce throat infections and other diseases due to change in weather.
The cold weather virtually forced general public to put on rainy jackets and winter clothes. Elderly, old, infirm and ailing people were compelled to stay indoors.
Today, it’s sunny day.
