Long Pending Payment Of LTA Be Made Immediately, demands PAU Retirees' Welfare Association

Ludhiana, December 10, 2015: Today a general body meeting of the PAU Retirees' Welfare Association was held in the Students' Home. Presiding over the meeting, Jila Ram Bansal, President told that to get implemented '3 Lac Cashless Medical Insurance Scheme' a meeting was held with the PAU authorities and stressed them to implement the same without any loss of time. Further Mr.Bansal told and requested the authorities that long pending payment of LTA be made immediately during the month of December and the association should not be forced to implement the decision of the general body to start agitation during the month of January 2016. Mr. Bansal also gave hint to organize the 4th PAU Pensioners' Mela during the month of February 2016.
Mr. Satish Sood, General Secretary read out the agenda of the meeting. He also highlighted the achievements of the association and also gave details of the goals of the association for future.
Chairman D.P. Maur told regarding the demands in progress with the government of Punjab i.e., fixed medical allowance from Rs. 500 to 1500, one month extra pension for the maintenance of house and City compensatory allowance etc. 
Lady Executive Members Mrs. Sapatkala Sharma and Mrs. Balbir Kaur took special initiative and attended the meeting with a large number of 15 lady pensioners namely Sheela Matharoo, Sita Devi, Mrs. Sushil Malhotra, Naresh Kumari, Mrs. Laxmi Devi, Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur, Mrs. Dua & Mrs. Manjit Kaur etc. Apart from these Charan Singh Gurum, HBS Bhatia, KC Buddhiraja, GS Narula, Sunder Sham Sharma, Som Nanth Sharma, Anoop Singh, PS Gill, Satpal Sharma, Hakikat Singh Mangat, Gulzar Pandher, Ajit Singh Cheema, Labh Singh, Sukhjinder Sekhon, Gurmukh Singh, Manjit Mehram, Birbal, Jagga Singh, TS Sangra, Iqbal Singh, Sohan Singh, RS Rangila, Muni Lal, Rup Lal Sharma, Amarjit Singh, Paramjit Narula, Bhagwant Singh and Kailash Chander attended the meeting.
Out of the six retired PAU employees, five enrolled themselves as members of the association and they were honoured with garlands. These members were Mewa Singh, Ms. Rajni, Harjinder Singh, Ajit singh and RK Verma. Mr. Bhupinder Singh was honoured as a special case because he has contributed a lot day & night to strengthen the association. 
In the end President, Mr. Jila Ram Bansal thanked the audience and requested them to attend the meetings in future in such a large number. He also thanked the lady members for attending the meeting in large number. He specially thanked Mrs. Sapatkala and Mrs. Balbir Kaur both Executive Members for their special contribution towards the association.
