Chandigarh, June 13, 2015: Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof Arun Kumar Grover has expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of creator of world famous iconic Rock Garden Mr Nek Chand.
In his condolence message, Prof Grover recalled the great contributions of the recipient of Padma Shri Mr Nek Chand. He said that he would be long remembered for his creativity.
He recalled that Mr Nek Chand was honoured several times by the University. He was also given Paryatan Rattan Award by University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), PU.
PU Dean University Instructions, Prof AK Bhandari, Dean Research, Prof Lalit Kumar Bansal, Registrar, Col. GS Chadha (Retd.) have also condoled the demise of Mr Nek Chand.
Prof Grover has also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul might rest in peace. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
