Youth Festival Winners being honoured in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, October 30, 2015: Students and teachers of Lyallpur Khalsa College contributing to the winning of the Zonal Youth festival of Guru Nanak Dev University were honored today in the college. In a special function organized in the campus, the college president Sardarni Balbir Kaur honoured the winners and lauded the efforts of the teachers and team in-charges in this achievement. Congratulating the students and staff, she assured them of all possible help and support from the Governing Council.
Speaking on the occasion the college Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that Lyallpur Khalsa College won the trophy with 17 first, 7 second and 4 third positions, forming a total score of139 points. He reiterated the commitment of the college to upholding of spiritual and cultural values of Punjab so that the youth might not be led astray towards evils like drugs, and particularly mentioned the contribution of the former President of the College management S. Balbir Singh in bringing to the college its present status and reputation.
The occasion was marked by the presence of S. Jaspal Singh Waraich Joint Secretary, S. Deepinder Singh Member Governing council, team incharges, trainers and senior teachers of the college. The stage on the occasion was conducted By Dr. Rashpal Sandhu, Dean Cultural affairs of the college.
