KMV, Jalandhar students who have successfully pursued Internships at Overdrive, Core PR and India Today.

Jalandhar: Students from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar brought laurels to the institution by pursuing internship successfully at prestigious media houses at Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh. Shivani Attri, a student of BA (JMC) VI Semester successfully completed her internship in photography at Auto Expo, 2016, New Delhi as a team member of Overdrive Network 18. During her internship she had an opportunity to assist renowned photographers of overdrive like Mr. Suresh Narayan and Annis Shaik Rao. Nidhi Rana, another student of BA (JMC) VI semester did her internship from India Today, New Delhi and Indian Express, New Delhi. During her internship in the photography section her clicked photographs were carried on front page of the Indian Express twice. Kiranjit Kaur, a student of BA (JMC) VI Semester completed her internship with Core PR, a reputed Public Relation Firm at Chandigarh. She participated in CSR activity of the company and did online promotion through Facebook posts. She also made a video for “ Helmeters – Helmet on Head” as a part of CSR activity of the company as well. It is worth mentioning here that students of JMC department previously had been for their Internships at NDTV India, Zee News and many other prestigious media houses as well. Principal Prof. ( Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the students for their achievements and praised the faculty of the department of JMC for the success. She averred that such internships provide an exposure to students which is very important for their professional growth in the field of media.
