KMV to present `Gagan Mein Thaal’- Balwant Gargi’s devotional play on Oct 25, 2019

Jalandhar, October 24, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is going to present 'Gagan Mein Thaal' Devotional Play by Balwant Gargi on October 25,2019 in KMV Auditorium at 6:30 pm. Throwing more light on the play, Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV averred that KMV is presenting this play to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The cast and crew are the students of KMV who have enacted this magnum opus with great devotion and hard work. Prof. Mahinder and Ms Shweta the directors of the play have also put in their best efforts keeping in sync with the spiritual magnitude of the subject. Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi further maintained that the whole college has contributed to the presentation of the play. The costumes have been stitched by the students of PG Department of Fashion Designing, live music will be performed by PG Department of Music, makeup will be done by the PG Department of Cosmetology, digital effects will be provided by the PG Department of IT & Animation & the event is being organised by the PG Department of Punjabi. It is worth a mention that KMV has organized a series of programs to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Some being the musical presentation of Mohan Singh's ''Naankayan'' & a seminar on ''Guru Nanak Bani: Mool Sarokaar Te Prasangikta''. All these events were organized in collaboration with Punjab Kala Parishad, Chandigarh. Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi further averred that it would be an honour to have the eminent citizens, high officials from civil administration, police administration and KMV management amongst us for this occasion. She also lauded the efforts of PG Department of Punjabi for concerted efforts and coordination.
