PU zonal youth and heritage festival enters third day at RGC

Ludhiana, September 27, 2019: The four-day PU Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival reached its third day amid exhilaration and brimming fervor at Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana.
Dr.Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination, P.U.Chandigarh, graced the occasion as chief guest and, Arwinder Singh, Dr.Jagtar Dhiman, Registrar C.T.University, Dr.Gurmeet Singh, Senate Member, P.U Chandigarh, as the guests of honour for the morning session.
Hira Singh Gabria, Ex-MLA, Principal Dr.Sawita Behal, Principal Dr.Narinder Singh Sidhu, Principal Dr.Mukti Gill, Dr.Kirandeep Kaur, also presided over the session.
Dr.Inderjit Kaur, Principal, Ranjodh Singh, President, Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary, accorded a hearty welcome to the eminent guests. To commence the day in the name of the Almighty, the students of the college recited shabad in their mellifluous voices. The third day was the day of theatre items, namely, One Act Play, Mime, Histrionics, Skit, Mimicry, Bhand; Creative Items like Essay Writing, Short-Story Writing, Poem Writing, Hand writing, and Fine Arts Items like On the spot Painting, Photography, College Making, Clay Modeling, Rangoli, Cartooning, Still Life Drawing, Installation, Poster Making etc. Spectacular performances were witnessed in every item.
Dr.Inderjit Kaur said that the objective of organising theatre items and Fine Arts items is to create awareness among the students and witnessing such wonderful performances prove out to be an extraordinary experience for both the performers and the audience. The honorable guests admired the immensity of the talent of the students and congratulated them on achieving such a level of excellence. She acknowledged the endeavours put in by the zealous participants and congratulated the prize winners. She further added that whereas the theatre items hinted at the social evils that our society is infested with, the items under Fine Arts help a great deal to bring out the purest forms of art out of the budding artists .
Ranjodh Singh appreciated the efforts of all the participants and teachers who restlessly helped the students to prepare for such wonderful performances. He also lauded the stupendous show put up by the youth.
Gurcharan Singh Lotey said that the thought-provoking performances of the day took the festival to another level. The day concluded with a vote of thanks by him.
