Students of KMV, Jalandhar during their educational trip to RBI, Chandigarh.
Jalandhar, October 2, 2015: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar’s P.G.Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised a one day educational trip Chandigarh. 62 students of M.Com Sem.-III & B.B.A Sem.-V along with 5 faculty members visited RBI, Chandigarh, according to a release issued here on Thursday. During this enlightening experience, students were given information about the functioning of RBI. They were also apprised about financial inclusion, currency issue process and salient features of currency notes in circulation in India. The visit was also extended to exhibition hall where students were told about various loan schemes and scholarships available to students specially. The next venue of the visit was the Banking Hall where the young girls got a chance to observe the actual functioning of the RBI. Principal Dr. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the organizers and congratulated them for organizing such visits from time to time as they provided practical insight into all operations related to commerce and supplemented the theoretical knowledge provided in the controlled conditions of the classroom.
