KMV Celebrates Green Diwali; Spreads Message of Pollution Free Diwali

Jalandhar, November 5, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous & Heritage Institution, Jalandhar celebrated Pollution Free Green Diwali. the students organised rally for generating awareness about celebrating "Ecofriendly Diwali''. SDM, Jalandhar I, Dr Sanjeev Kumar was the Chief Guest at the occasion. He along with Shri Chandra Mohan, President Arya Shiksha Mandal & KMV Managing Committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi flagged off the rally. More than 200 students participated in the rally with placards showing slogans on celebrating pollution free and safe diwali. Students chanted slogans regarding Green & Pollution Free diwali in order to spread awareness amongst the students.
Students were addressed by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi and were given tips for celebrating Green Diwali like avoiding bursting of crackers, avoid using chinese lights, preferring use of diyas over electricity, sharing gift with the needy ones etc.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts Dr Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare, Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Head, Dept. of Environmental Science, Ms Manju, Ms Gurleen and all the members of Student Council.
