Inter- Class Cricket Tournament 2016: GGNIVS

Ludhiana, April 4, 2016: In keeping with its tradition of holding different sports events every year, Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies (GGNIVS), Civil Lines conducted the inter-class cricket tournament. A total of 10 teams participated in the event. Students from B.Com (Regular), B.Com(P), B.Sc (IT), BBA, B.A participated in a series of matches that led to some exciting moments for the audience. B.ScIT(4th) and B.com(6th) gained entry to the final match. Meetkamal from B.ScIT(4th) and Lucky from B.com(6th) were the captains of their respective teams. B.Com(6th) turned out as winner of the match. Parminder Singh Grewal was declared Man of the Match for his all round best performance.
Director Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra congratulated the winning team for putting up a great show. He shed light on the significance of sports in life. “ A balanced development of an individual is the consequence of amalgamation of study and sports” he said and motivated the students to take keen interest in sports and other co-curricular activities.
