TWO DAY NET BALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR JUNIORS CONCLUDES

Chandigarh, September 11, 2016: The Two Day Chandigarh Junior Net ball State Championship (Boys & Girls) organised by Net ball Sports Promotion Association (NBSPA), Chandigarh, concluded at The British School, Sector 44, Chandigarh grounds.

In the Boys Category final, Khalsa Club beat The British Academy 16 -15 to win the championship. The third place was taken by GMSSS 32(Government Model Senior Secondary School) who beat Arvindo Club 17- 12.

In the Girls Category final, GMGSSS(Government Model Girls Senior Secondary School), Sector 20 B beat GMSSS(Government Model Senior Secondary School), Sector 20 D 15-12 to win the tournament. The third place was taken by GNPS(Guru Nanak Public School), Sector 36 who beat GMSSS(Government Model Senior Secondary School --B Team), Sector 20, 15-14.

Ms Kirti, an International net ball player gave away the trophies to the winning teams.

“We have also held trials, in which 20 boys and 20 girls have been shortlisted for the upcoming Junior Nationals in Delhi, which are to be held in the month of October. The final playing list of Chandigarh will be declared soon.” Said P S Lamba, General Secretary, NBSPA, Chandigarh.

Ranjan Sethi, President of NBSPA, Chandigarh, who is also Director of The British School, Chandigarh, was also present. In total 19 teams in Boys & Girls categories took part in the Championship.
