Huawei launched 3rd edition of “Huawei ICT Competition 2019-20” at DAVIET
Jalandhar, October 14, 2019: Huawei launched its third edition of “Huawei ICT Competition 2019-20” at DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Jalandhar on Monday. This competition will provide a unique opportunity to the students of DAVIET to participate at an International Event, compete with the best in the world to showcase their ICT Knowledge, earn themselves Global Certification and Attractive Awards, besides qualifying for participation in Huawei Job Fair, scheduled to be conducted later this year. In this “Huawei ICT Competition 2019-20” the top 5 ICT Academies shall be shortlisted and 3 top students from these Academies will qualify for the National Finals which will be held at Huawei ,Gurgaon and further after selection from national level the students will compete for the final global competition which will be held at Huawei Office in Shenzhen, China. Himanshu Mahajan ,General Manager from Huawei explained the complete Process to the students in detail starting from Registration which will begin from the mid of October,2019 till Global Finals which will be held at Shenzhen, China in the month of May,2020. The other Officials of HUAWEI also shared that this year’s competition also has incentives for the academies and recognition and awards for top chosen ICT academies and Instructors. Dr. Neeru Malhotra,Head Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering said that the principle motto of DAVIET is to promote and strengthen the education in the field of Modern Era Technologies to further understand and prepare the students in terms of industry demands, DAVIET is happy and acknowledge the collaboration with Huawei, which will provide ICT based courses and global competitions to the students and will train the faculty to strengthen their skills.She further added that every year students of DAVIET participating in Huawei Competition and this year again our students will participate with full enthusiasm. On this occasion, Himanshu Mahajan from Huawei also shared that he already committed to Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET that apart from this competition, Huawei shall also provide simulators, training kits and e-learning content which will be the easy access for the students of DAVIET. He further added that this will provide a modern platform for technical training and evaluation through ICT based Global Competitions. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr.Sudhir Sharma,Dean(Academics),Dr.Jagjit Malhotra,Associate Professor(ECE),Dr.Jagroop Singh, Associate Professor(ECE),Dr.Kiran Ahuja,Assistant Professor(ECE) and Other Staff Members of DAVIET Jalandhar.
