Government constitutes committee to purchase seeds

Chandigarh, April 7, 2015: The Punjab Government has constituted a committee to purchase seeds in the state. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Agriculture department, Punjab said that the Managing Director, Punseed would be the chairman of this committee. He said that Joint Controller (Finance Accounts), Joint Director (Agriculture),Joint Director Agriculture Gurdial Singh General Manager Marketing Punseed would be the members of this committee.

He also said that Director Agriculture would make sure that the terms and conditions regarding procurement of seed should be strictly applied by the committee. He said that this procurement is recognised as per the crop diversification programme of 2014-15. This committee will submit its recommendations to the government after the completion of report.
