CM Appoints Bunty Romana As Chairman Of State Youth Development Board

Chandigarh, May 4, 2015: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today approved the appointment of Mr. Parambans Singh ‘Bunty Romana’ as the Chairman of State Youth Development Board.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Badal cleared the file to this effect and the formal orders with regard to the said appointment of Romana would be issued shortly.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also gave a go-ahead to appoint Vikramjit Singh, Gursharan Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Harkamal Singh, Meetpal Singh and Arshdeep Singh Brar as the members of State Youth Development Board.

It may be recalled that Romana rendered outstanding services in sensitizing the youth to take up constructive activities for the overall development of the state besides launching a vigorous campaign to create awareness amongst the youth against the social evils especially the drug abuse.

Pertinently to mention here that the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal had recently appointed Romana as the Coordinator of Students Organization of India (SOI) - a youth wing of SAD.
