Chandigarh, September 26, 2015: Punjab Roadways Ropar has earned Rs.1.34 crore during this financial year till date. Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Punjab Roadways said that during the year 2014-15 this depot had earned Rs.60 lac. This was the best performance given by this depot since last two years.
He further said that of the 104 buses at the depot, 63 are PUNBUS buses whereas 29 Punjab Roadways, 9 AC and 3 belong to the kilometer scheme. PUNBUS and buses plying under kilomerter scheme had played an important role for earning the income
He further said that all buses plying on the road were in a good condition and yet to complete the lifespan. More buses are likely to be added to the fleet soon. He said that any bus that has completed its lifespan do not to run. All condemned buses are sent to the workshop.
