Technology imbibed in industrial automation 4.0 lab is widely used in manufacturing industry, aircraft industry
Jalandhar, July 17, 2019: Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation at GNA University inaugurated the Industrial Automation 4.0 lab with the sole objective of helping the Engineering students to accelerate the process of learning Automation and hands on training of the Robotic Systems, Pneumatic System, Electro-Pneumatic as well as Programming Logic Controller.
The Industrial Automation 4.0 Lab was duly inaugurated by Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro- Chancellor & CEO GNA Gears Ltd. along with Dr. V.K. Rattan, Vice Chancellor and C.R.Tripathy, Dean Faculty of Design and Innovation, under his strong stewardship.
The technology imbibed in Industrial Automation 4.0 Lab is widely used in manufacturing industry, Aircraft industry, Automobile sector, Construction sector, Shipyard Industry, Pharmaceutical Sector and many more. The students of Design and Innovation at the University already have in-depth knowledge of Product Design in Creo of PTC Inc. USA, GSD and styling in Dassault systemee France, Digitial Manufacturing in Siemens PLM and Virtual Robotic System in Festo Germany Ciros and FluidSim software along with strong background in theoretical knowledge.
The establishment of the Industry Automation 4.0 Lab bearing the latest trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies includes cyber-physical systems, Internet of things, Big Data, Virtual Reality, Argument Reality, 3D Printing, Smart Manufacturing and much more.
The Lab will provide hands on training in all the skills via the use of the Robot.
