Jalandhar, November 15, 2016: Taking a leap with the National Vision of Khelo India Khelo, the four day event, Khel Utsav, 2016 came to a triumphant end on the school grounds, with the Sanskriti KMV School as the overall winner of the interschool event. Jyoti Model School and Shiv Jyoti School bagged the runner up positions respectively. The event included interschool matches and events for Volley ball, Basket Ball, Speed Ball, Fencing, Taekwondo, Chess, Athletics, Table tennis, Cricket, invited school teams from the city schools. The participating schools were Seth Hukam Chand School, Dayanand Model School, IVY School, CT Public School and the host Sanskriti KMV School . The event was flagged by the benign presence of Mrs Rachna Monga, Principal, SKMV and Mrs Ashoo Bajaj, HOD Sports, KMV by the release of balloons. In total 600 students had participated. The winner students and teams were awarded with medals and trophies.
Mrs Rachna Monga, Principal mentioned that, Khel Utsav, initiative stands as a distinctive tribute on Children’s Day to Hon’ble Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru ji’s vision for children’s growth and the multi skill vision of Hon’ble PM Sh Narnedra Modi ji. In her highly appreciating note to all the energetic teams, applauded their true spirit of sportsmanship, and inspired to keep the flame of aim always burning to make new accomplishments. She mentioned that school is duly shouldering the responsibility of producing young generation for sports sphere with right direction under the coaches and the equipped department.
