Ludhiana, May 21, 2016: Congress party organised a function at Sarabha Nagar to mark the 25th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Former DCC president Pawan Dewan said, it was Rajiv Gandhi who introduced the age of 18 for the youth the exercise their voting rights. Similarly, he introduced the Panchayati Raj Act and also the information technology in the country. It was unfortunate that Rajiv Gandhi was martyred in the prime of his youth and had he been there for more time India would have progressed much more.
On this occasion they appealed the youth to follow his path and realise his dreams. Among others on this occasion Satwinder Jawaddi, Baljinder Bunty, Navneesh Malhotra, Rohit Pahwa, Ramesh Handa, Madan Lal Madhu, Rajnish Chopra, Avtar Singh Kanda, Dr. Onkar Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Sadhu Ram Singhi, Baljit Singh Ahuja, Raja Gurjot Singh, BM Kalia, Mangal Pasi, Pradeep Sharma, Kapil Gupta, Rahul Dulgach were also present.
