FICO delegation meets Jaitley

Ludhiana, August 1, 2014: A delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisations (FICO) on Friday met Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister, at New Delhi. It was led by Pankaj Munjal (past president, All India Cycle Association).
Delegates demanded among other things abolition of 2% central excise on complete bicycle, inclusion of bicycle in priority sector lending for easy microfinance, TUF scheme for bicycle industry, import duty on bicycle and parts, Credit Link Capital Subsidy Scheme and raising exemption limit of central excise.
Satpal Gosain (ex-minister Punjab), Onkar Singh Pahwa (Chairman, BRADO), Rajiv Jain (Secretary, FICO), Gurmeet Singh Kular (Chairman, PHD Chamber Commerce & Industry- Ludhiana Zone), Niraj Hit Abhilashi Tayal  (All India Convener of BJP Industrial Cell), Ravinder Arora  (Convener, BJP Industrial Cell Punjab), Amit Gosain, Girish Kapoor (MD, Altas Cycles) and Arvind  Kumar were among those present.
