FICCI on Sunday Organising Cyclothon and Blood Camp On International Thelasemia at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, May 8, 2016: FICCI FLO Ludhiana in association with SPS Hospital celebrated 25th International Thelasemia Day on Sunday. Zindagi Live, an NGO, joined hands to organise a blood donation camp.
To spread awareness about Thelasemia FLO members got together for a Cyclothon which was flagged off by Shri Tanvir Singh Dhaliwal, Spokesman, YAD, Punjab. The cyclothon with over 100 bikers started from Lakshmi Ladies Club went on till Saraba Nagar, Malhar Road and finished at the club covering nearly 11kms.
Various Cycling clubs like Gstar, Ludhiana Peddlers, Girl Peddlers came forward with FLO Ludhiana to help in the cause.
Savita Agarwal Chairperson FLO Ludhiana did not leave any stones unturned to make it a successful effort towards health awareness.
SPS Hospital provided an ambulance which gave refreshments and water to the bikers and also the doctors worked very hard from morning 7am till late afternoon at Lakshmi Ladies Club, Ludhiana a renowned ladies club which became venue partners to give comfortable place to collect blood from the FLO members and their spouses.
