Earth Day Celebrated by Team AAP

Ludhiana, April 22, 2015: AAP Punjab (Ludhiana unit) is celebrating the Earth Day by carrying out a clean and green drive in the so called ‘green belt’ in front of Lodhi Club in Ludhiana. AAP is campaigning with various activities to create awareness in public about pollution, Garbage disposal, Cleanliness, Pollution of ground water table, pollution of air and maintenance of green belt to save environment and earth.  Under the supervision of Team AAP as part of the campaign ‘Clean and Green Ludhiana’ , members have taken an initiative to clean the Buddha Dariya and save the river satluj from pollution. They have started sappling plantation after getting the area cleaned by help of A2Z staff and local residents.

Alongwith this campaign AAP also ran a membership drive in the same area.

Following volunteers participated as part of the team ‘Clean & Green Ludhiana’, Col. Chander Mohan Lakhanpal, RajFateh Singh, Panjak Saxena, Puneet Sahni, Harjeet Singh, Subash Chander, Gurbeer Singh, Rajinderpal Kaur, Pritam Singh, Ramit Saxena, Davinderpal Singh, J S Ghuman and other area residents were also present.
