Ferozepur/Faridkot, June 3, 2016: In this digital era when every service is now being made available online, Ferozepur has become the first district of the State with the launching of e-Employment App by Sarvesh Kaushal, Chief Secretary Punjab from Faridkot, in the presence of V.K.Meena, Commissioner and Er.DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur with an aim to make unemployed youths expert in some specific field, making available of loans and extending the facility of subsidy.
Ferozepur being a border town is still considered lacking in industrial training and trade levels as the youths are dependent only agricultural related professions with the result it is difficult to pull on with the day today needs of the family.
Talking about the special features about the e-Employment App, Er.DPS Kharbnda said, this App is for android Smartphones and is available for downloading from Google Play Store. One can registered himself after downloading it and after that every information will be posted on http://erojgaarfzr.com and then the registered member will start getting notifications automatically.
He further stated that keeping in view the convenience of the people, 6 modules have been prepared in this App – Jobs, Skill Development, Self Employment Loan, Employment Point, Employer Portal, Jobs portal.
Each module will carry detailed information which could be seen with the click of the mouse like availability of “C” & “D” category jobs, availability of vacant posts and various loans under self-employment schemes, he added.
He also said that to improve the skillfulness in different fields, the required number of centers have also been opened where the youths can have 30-60 days training for uniform stitching, school bags, hand gloves, muffler, T-short, mobile repair, AC repair etc. and can earn Rs.10,000 to Rs,20,000 per month. Besides this, information regarding availability of bank loans under different schemes, availability of vacant posts would also be made available.
He also stated that 60 employment points for every ten villages, are also available in the district for the last two years, for any assistance related to loan, Aadhar Card, PAN Card alongwith the lists, addresses and phone numbers.
