MEETING of Anti-Ragging Committee held at DMCH

Ludhiana, August 3, 2013: A meeting of Anti-Ragging Committee of DMCH, Ludhiana was held today in the office of Principal.

It was attended by the members of Anti-Ragging Committee including student representatives.

Principal Dr Daljit Singh highlighted the menace of ragging and was glad to inform the house that DMCH is “zero ragging” institute.

The house promised him that they would do their level best to maintain the standards.

Following various measures were discussed to prevent ragging:-

•           Newcomers will be provided Information Sheet containing the Dos & Dont's for first professional teaching schedule, probable examination dates, holiday schedule and contact numbers of all members of Anti-Ragging Committee along with a dedicated 24X7 mobile number 8146030038

•           Anti-Ragging squad, separate for both boys and girls hostel, are formed which will visit the hostels and conduct raid at odd hours.

•           A separate block has been earmarked for the rooms to be allocated both in boys and girls hostel. Entry to this block is regulated through a collapsable gate, which will be locked at night. A security guard will be stationed 24X7 and an entry to this block is monitored through CCTV.

•           CCTVs has been placed at an important places in both boys and girls hostels, the footage of which will be reviewed at regular intervals.

•           The entry of senior students to college, hospital and hostel has been banned till 25th August

•           The students are divided into small groups of 6-7 students each and senior faculty member is appointed as a faculty guide for each group. They will take care of group of students allocated to them.
