Director of Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Dr.William Bhatti, inaugurates “Urology Stone Clinic”

Ludhiana, December 3, 2019: The Director of the Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Dr.William Bhatti, inaugurated the “Urology Stone Clinic” today. The inauguration was blessed by the Chaplain and attended by the office bearers of the institution. The clinic aims at providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with uro-lithiasis with state of the art equipment including holmium laser lithotripsy. Dr.Partho Mukherjee, Head of the Department of Urology said that “This clinic shall provide minimally invasive and scar less stone surgery, namely retrograde intra-renal surgery (RIRS) with flexible ureteroscopes, URS, PCNL, and Mini-PCNL at affordable prices.” Dr.Uma Kant Dutt, Assistant Professor, Urology added that "Urological stone disease is a treatable condition with potential for recurrence and can cause renal failure if not treated timely. The disease is very common in Punjab and surrounding states of Rajasthan, Kashmir, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, the “stone belt” of India. The clinic helps re-affirms the pledge of the CMC Ludhiana in providing quality services for this ailment to the masses.
