Dear Ludhianavis, get ready to pay for parking of vehicles at new sites too!

Ludhiana, July 6, 2016: Parking of vehicles at public places will not be free of cost any more for people of this industrial city, as people have to bear cost for parking of their vehicles almost all across the city.
Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana (MCL) has earmarked seven new sites for parking of vehicles by public. It will increase the parking sites number to 12 in the city.
Sidhwan Canal till Ferozepur Road Octroi Post, Model Town Extension market, Orient Cinema opposite police station BRS Nagar, Jagraon Bridge to Sherpur Chowk, Bhadhaur House opposite AC market, below Lakkar Bridge and old GT Road below central bridge and Kapoor Hospital to Rekhi Cinema Chowk, Mall Road and below Gill Chowk Bridge opposite Rishi Dhabha are the new parking sites selected by MCL.
The existing parking sites in the city as under: Sarabha Nagar Kipps Market, Feroze Gandhi Market, Sarabha Nagar Market, Ferozepur Road from Jagraon Bridge till Sidhwan Canal and Multi level parking complex.
MCL has begun e-auction for hiring the contractors for the operation of 12 parking sites in the city on July 5. The procedure e-auction and the allotment of all the parking sites are scheduled to be completed by July-end.
