Ferozepur BDPO Attacked After Auction Of Shamlat Land In Ferozepur

Ferozepur, July 15, 2016: A lady BDPO gone for auction of shamlat land alongwith Panchayat Officer was attacked by some persons while the vehicle of Panchayat Officer was gehraoed.
The case was lodged following the complaint lodged by BDPO Ghall Khurd, Davinder Kaur against five persons identified as Yadwinder Singh, Sukhmandar Singh, Jagtar Singh, Simarjit Singh and Ladi Commentary Wala, all residents of village Mirze Wala under Sections 353, 332, 186 IPC.
Giving the details, the lady BDPO said on Thursday, she alongwith her staff had gone for auction of shamlat land at village Mirzewala. “Few miscreants were creating disturbance during the auction by shouting. Later when the auction ended and we were ready to move back, some of them carrying firearms attacked us and pelted stones on our vehicle”, said the BDPO.
Lal Singh, Investigative Officer, Ghallkhurd Police Station said, a case has been registered and investigation is on. However, no arrest has been made in this case so far.
