Five Persons Booked After Repeat Attack

Ferozepur, April 10, 2016: Three days after few unidentified miscreants carried out indiscriminate firing at Village Satiyewala near Ferozepur on Thursday night, another attack was made yesterday night at around 10.30 pm on the same family which has raised several questions on the functioning of police. Two persons identified as Love Kumar, a resident of Village Naurang Ke siyal and Sewa Singh got injured in yesterday’s attack. It is pertinent to mention here that panic had gripped the area on the evening of 7th April when some unidentified assailants attacked at the residence of Gursewak Singh, at Village Satiyewala, just few kilometers away from district headquarter and shot several fires in the air. It is pertinent to mention here that Gursewak Singh’s son Bir Singh’s marriage was fixed for today.
Later, a case under sections 307/452/427 IPC 25/27/54/59 Arms Act (Case number 33 Dated 7-04-2016) was registered against five unidentified persons, the accused are still to be arrested.
Amarjit Singh, SP (D), said that the police have launched a hunt to nab the culprits and very soon they will be put behind the bars. “We have provided sufficient security to the family for marriage”, he further added.
A case under section 307/427/148/149 IPC 25/27/54/59 Arms Act (Case Number 34 Dated 09.04.16) has been registered against the accused following a complaint lodged by Gursewak Singh whose son Bir Singh’s marriage was scheduled to take place on today.
