Day-2 of Youth Festival of C- Zone at DAV College

Jalandhar, October 31, 2019: Youth Festival of C- Zone being held at DAV College, Jalandhar starter with a bang on its second day. One act play, mime and play were the main attractions. On the second day of the festivals students competed in Fancy dress , mime , folk orchestra , one act play , song/ghazal , folk song , poetry , war , elocution , poetical symposium , debate , rangoli and phulkari . The Chief Guest on the second day was Shri Bawa Henry (MLA, Jalandhar North ) whereas Guest of honour was Shri Kundanlal Aggarwal (Former Chairman DAV Local Management Committee, Jalandhar ) . The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other distinguished guests were welcomed by Principal Dr. S. K. Arora, Vice Principal Prof. V.K. Sareen, Vice Principal Prof. Arun Mehra, Dr. J. R. Garg (Dean EMA), Registrar Prof. Ajay Agarwal, Deputy Registrar Prof. Anu Gupta, Staff Secretary Prof. Vipin Jhanjhi, Prof. S. S. Randhawa , PRO Prof. Manish Khanna and Team Coordinator Youth Festival Dr. Pradeep Kaur by presenting a flower bouquet. Principal Dr. S. K . Arora said that the first of Zonal Youth Festival at DAV College went very smoothly and everyone enjoyed it. And on the other three days even you all will enjoy all the performances likewise. On the other hand he also thanked the Chief Guest Mr. Bawa Henry and Guest of honor Shri Kundan Lal Aggarwal for arriving at the occasion. Addressing the students, Chief Guest Mr. Bawa Henry said that they are feeling proud that they have got the chance to become the Chief Guest at a function today where the upcoming stars will showcase their art. He said that organizing such programs at the university level proves helpful in improving the talent of students. The hidden talent within the students is revealed and along with the enjoyment, they also become the participants of the competition. Guest of Honour Shri Kundan Lal Aggarwal extended his best wishes to the students for the competitions being held at the Youth Festival. He said that in this youth festival today, not only you will get a chance to showcase your art but you will also get to learn a lot of new things. Dean EMA Dr. J. R. Garg said that the first day of the Youth Festival was completed in a very good way and you all enjoyed every competition . And we assure you that you will enjoy all the competitions for the rest of the festival . During second day , several social issues were raised by the students through mime. Samrat Ashok and Female harassment was shown through mime. In the debate, the students presented their views on topics like attraction of Indian youth towards foreign land and topics like elimination of social crimes by education was presented by students in allocation. On this occasion Prof. Hemant Kumar , Dr. Manu Sood , Prof. Naveen Saini , Prof. S. K. Middha , Prof. Saurabh , Prof. Pradeep kaur, Prof. Geetika Jain, Dr. Sahib Singh, Prof. Jyoti Vardhan Mahajan, Prof. Heena Arora, Prof. Neha Malhota, Prof. Shweta, Prof. Surbhi Sharma , Prof. Anisha Chadha , Prof. Sameer along with other staff were present.
