Cycle Rally on “Sadak Suraksha, Jeewan Raksha” at PU

Chandigarh, February 8, 2019: Centre for Police Administration and NCC Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a cycle rally and awareness lecture, here today. Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh and SSP Traffic, Sh.Shashank Anand flagged-off the Rally from the Centre for Police Administration for the awareness regarding the use of Cycle Tracks and Zebra Crossing in Road Safety Week on the theme "Sadak Suraksha, Jeewan Raksha". The rally covered Sector 15, 25, yatri niwas, 16 PGI and back to University. Prof. Emanual Nahar Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Chairperson Police Administration, Prof. Anil Monga, Prof. Ashwani Kaul Chief of University Security, DSP Sondhi, Chief Traffic Marshal C.S.Grewal, CO,NCC Rohit Thakur, Traffic Marshals- Sh. Suresh Sharma, Pooja Sharma, Sukhjeet Kaur, Chairpersons and Faculty members from various departments, students and NCC cadets participated in the rally. The rally was concluded with the awareness Lecture on 'Road Safety' by the Chief Traffic Marshal C.S.Grewal and DSP Sondhi.
