CT University holds cake mixing ceremony
Ludhiana, November 28, 2019: To commemorate the pre-Christmas celebrations, the students of School of Hotel Management organised a cake mixing ceremony at CT University. The students along with the faculty members prepared a mix for the Christmas cakes in which almonds, cashews, walnuts, candied ginger, prunes, raising, tutti fruity and glazed cherries were mixed and soaked in wine, brandy and rum for days. This mix will be used to bake cakes especially the Christmas plum cakes in order to celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. The students were in joyous mood to celebrate this festival of joy and merry. The décor and ambience was also related to the Christmas theme. The event was organised as a ritual which has to be done before Christmas Eve in order to prepare flavored plum cakes. Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director, School of Hotel Management briefed the students about the importance of this mixing ceremony and cakes in this festive season and further told the students how these activities helps in making them industry ready. On this occasion Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CTU motivated the students to boost their morale and keep shaping their talent by organizing and participating in such events which in turn shapes them into real hotel professionals. Meanwhile, a similar event was also held at CT Institute of Hotel Management, Jalandhar.
