Rohtak, May 4, 2024: Congress candidate Deepender Singh Hooda filed his nomination papers at Rohtak Deputy Commissioner office today.

Before filing nomination, Deepender performed puja and havan with full rituals along with his family and prayed for development and prosperity in the area. After this, Deepender Hooda, leader of opposition Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, State Congress President Udaibhan, Congress MLAs and thousands of workers along with a road-show reached the Deputy Commissioner's office and filed the nomination. 

After filing the nomination, in a public meeting at Ambedkar Chowk, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said the sweat that the workers have shed in this scorching heat will not go in vain and will turn the colour of politics in Haryana. 

“This is not just the Lok Sabha elections, but a fight to save the Constitution of the country. Democracy will survive only if the Constitution survives. That is why the opposition parties have united and formed the INDIA Alliance. In Haryana, this alliance is contesting the elections with full strength, and all fraternities have decided to bless the India alliance against BJP,” Hooda said.

A huge crowd accompanied Deepender Hooda on the way to the Deputy Commissioner's office to file his nomination and all the roads were jam packed for hours. Deepender, elated after seeing the huge crowd gathered in the public meeting, said that I fulfilled the responsibility given to me by blessing me 19 years ago and tried to bring big projects here to change the picture of my area. “But after the BJP government came to power, big approved projects from Haryana like International Airport, Rail Coach Factory went to other states one by one,” he stated. 

Deepender, while comparing the works of his tenure in Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency and the tenure of the current BJP MP, said Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency is the only area where he built 6 prominent national level institutions of the Government of India. Among which are IIM, AIIMS-2 Badhsa, Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN), FDDI, IHM, IIT. 

Apart from this, 5 new universities were set up, which included Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Health University, MSME Technology Center (Tool Room), Nuclear Science University (GCNEP), State University of Visual and Performing Arts, Indira Gandhi University (Mirpur). He said 18 new government colleges, 18 new government ITIs, 8 new government polytechnics were set up in the Rohtak Lok Sabha, 2 new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Bhakli and Matanhel, 2 new engineering colleges, 1 Sainik School, more than 200 new government schools and hundreds of schools upgraded.

He said that 120 new sports stadiums (National + State level + Rural - (1 + 3 + 116), 2 SAI Sports Training Centers of Government of India were built in various villages. 4 Super Specialty Hospitals - (AIIMS 2, NCI, PGI of Rohtak) Expansion, Maharaja Agrasen), 68 new hospitals built in villages and cities.
Deepender added that the new metro was started till Bahadurgarh, 4 new train services started, 2 new railway lines (230 km), 20 ROBs built, 30 new IMTs built. More than 100 new big industries were established, including big companies like Denso, Yokohama, Panasonic, Maruti, Amul, Aisin and JK Cement. He said two new thermal power plants were established and 12 National Highways (NHs) were sanctioned (1080 KM), PMGSY + NCRPB roads – 785+383 KM, 718 drinking water projects and free plots of 100 yards provided to 30706 poor families. 

He said when the Congress government comes to power in the country and the state, we will complete the pending works on war footing and will again make Haryana number 1 in terms of development. He said his aim is to bring Meham airport back here, and extend Bahadurgarh Metro to Rohtak and Ballabhgarh Metro to Jhajjar via Badli as soon as the government is formed.
