Cooking without fire at DIPS-Suranussi

Students participate in the event `cooking without fire' at DIPS-Suranussi on Tuesday.

Jalandhar, December 23, 2014: The activity of ‘Cooking without Fire’ was organised in the premises of DIPS-Suranussi.
The activity was conducted for the classes I to XI. Students were divided into three categories. The First category included the students from I to V Class, 2nd category included the students from VI to VIII class and the third category included students of class IX to XI.
Due attention was paid to the cleanliness during this event. Students were already advised to use apron, Chef cap and hand gloves while performing the activity.
The Judge and Chief Guest of the event was professor Sandeep Luhani from St.Soldier College of Hotel Management. Students had prepared delicious food items of different states. There was a kind of creativity in the preparation. Students had given more importance to the nutritional values of food items prepared by them. The judgement was done on the basis of taste, quality, presentation and nutritional value from 1st Angad(v-g) has got first prize. Pranav (iii-g) has got second prize. From category 2nd Yashika (viii-a) has got first prize and Rakhi (vii-b) has got second prize. From category 3rd Rahul (x-b) has got first prize and Krishan Gopal (xi-sci.) has got second prize. At last principal Bela Kapoor rewarded the students with certificates and congratulated them for their efforts. She had thanked the chief guest and conveyed the message to the students to avoid junk food and to prefer nutritious and balanced diet.
