Community Health Centre, Bara, Pind on Thursday organised a special function to mark the world health day, on the occasion Senior Medical Officer Dr Balwinder Singh Kahlon seen expressing his views.
Phagwara, April 10, 2014: Community Health Centre, Bara, Pind today organised a special function to mark the world health day under the guidance of Senior Medical Officer Dr Balwinder Singh Kahlon.
On the occasion, school children, health staff and local people were especially present to observe the day celebrated under the theme ‘small bite big threat’. It was aimed at promoting awareness regarding the vector borne diseases.
Dr Kahlon said that disease from mosquitoes including malaria and dengue could be prevented largely by removing collected water in open areas. He also stressed need for giving due importance on mental health for overall development of human being Block Extension Educator Preetinder Singh, Health Supervisor Jagat Ram Bhatti also spoke on the occasion. Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) students displayed different posters on ‘world health day’.
