Chandigarh, August 14, 2014:The vigilance Bureau, Punjab has nabbed a JE of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) red-handed with the bribe money of Rs 50,000.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the bureau said that Shivdev Singh, JE, PSPCL Badali Alla Singh was nabbed on the complaint of Rajdeep of Chunni Kalan. The complainant alleged that the JE was demanding Rs.50,000 from him for increasing the voltage to install a transform .
Acting on the tip-off, a trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau, Unit Patiala led by Harpreet Singh, PPS and accused Shiv Dev Singh was arrested red-handed, while accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant. After the recovery of amount from him, a case under section 7 and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been registered against the JE in the Police Station, Patiala.
