CABINET MINISTER SHARANJIT SINGH DHILLON GIFTS NEW ROADS TO FIVE VILLAGES

Ludhiana, October 6, 2016: Punjab Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today laid the foundation stones of road projects in five villages of Sahnewal constituency. On the completion of this project worth Rs 1.75 crore, people of 18 villages of Sahnewal constituency would be benefitted.
While speaking to media persons after laying the foundation stone of road at Noorwala village and Gurudwara Nanaksar, Mr Dhillon said that today, foundation stone of the construction of new roads for village Noorwala, Gurudwara Nanaksar, village Sujatwal, village Chuharwal and village Garhi Sheru was laid while the roads of village Mangli Tanda would be repaired. He said that the length of these roads is around five kilometers and would be constructed with a cost of around Rs 1.75 crore.
Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that these roads are the lifelines of these villages, from where thousands of people travel daily for work. He said with the construction of these roads, people of not only these five villages, but around 18 villages would be benefitted. He said that with the completion of these projects, the remaining development works would also be carried out on priority basis. He also congratulated the area residents for the completion of their long pending demand and assured that the Punjab government is committed for the overall development of the state.
He said that the Punjab government is working hard for carrying out overall development of the state in a systematic manner. He said that special emphasis is being given towards education, healthcare and basic infrastructure. He said that other states are now following the welfare schemes of the Punjab government and said that Punjab is now amongst top states in terms of infrastructure.
While accusing the Aam Aadmi Party leaders of being power hungry, Mr Dhillon said that AAP National Convenor Mr Arvind Kejriwal backstabbed the Punjabi farmers by submitting an affidavit against Punjab in the Supreme Court with regard to the Satluj Yamuna Link canal. He said that Kejriwal's another statement to down the morale of our armed forces has proved that AAP has nothing to do with either the state or the country. He said that such actions clearly show that the AAP leaders are acting as per the whims and fancies of foreign forces, which is very dangerous for our country.
Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Meharban, XEN Rajinder Kumar, and a large number of area residents were also present on the occasion.
