Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized nutrition awareness camp ‘eat smart be smart’
Jalandhar, September 23, 2019: Department of Home Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized one day Nutrition Awareness Camp ‘Eat Smart Be Smart’ under the posham maah being celebrated at all India level.

The main focus of the camp was to create awareness amongst the college youth to eat right and at right time. Many informative posters emphasizing the importance of balanced diet and ways to prevent anaemia among young girls were displayed. Healthy and nutritious recipes, especially rich in iron, calcium and protein were also on display during the camp.

More than 150 students and teachers visited the camp and collected information on Nutrition and Anaemia Prevention. Fun games in the form of quiz and pin the right food were also organized.

Students of Home Science presented these posters and recipes. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma who was glad to see the enthusiasm of students during the camp. She put forth that health is the most important aspect of an individual life; and the students being young sometimes in the hush of life ignore it. So, it becomes essentially important for Colleges to take such initiatives which help them to be aware of their health and follow the right directions to be healthy.
