CTIHM students showcase different cultures during world tourism day

Jalandhar, September 27, 2019: CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) celebrated World Tourism Day on the theme Tourism and Jobs- A better future for all and the theme celebrated by the campus was “We all need to work together because there is no job on dead planet”. During the event, the students of Tourism and Hospitality presented an awareness walk on environment saving which was followed by tree plantation.
50 trees were planted inside the campus by Guests Sandeep Sharma, SP, Sukhdeep Singh, DSP, CT Group Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Campus Director Dr.GS Kalra, and Dean Academics Dr.Anupamdeep Sharma along with students. Later, students presented a Nukkad Natak on saving our heritage and against drug addiction. It was followed by a face painting competition on slogans allocated to them. The first prize was bagged by Neha and Harmeen, 2nd prize was bagged by Akashdeep and Ajay Kumar and the 3rd prize was bagged by Kushal and Pritisha.
Students also gave various cultural performances depicting various states. A total of 15 states by 15 different teams were presented and the 1st prize was bagged by the state of Punjab, 2nd prize was bagged by the state of Himachal and 3rd prize was bagged by the state of Sikkim.
Manbir Singh, Managing Director congratulated all the students and appreciated their efforts in marking this day.
