Annual general body meeting of Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust held
Ludhiana, September 15, 2019: Annual General Body meeting of Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust was held at its Divyang Sahayata & Punarvas Kendra, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Anand Sikkri, Managing Director, Anand Jewellers was the Chief Guest. Anil Bansal, MD, Bansal Tex Fab and Deepak Jain, Charted Accountant were the Guest of Honour. Vineet Garg, National presided over the meeting. On this occasion, free artificial limb distribution camp was organized in which 11 physically handicapped persons were provided with artificial limbs, calipers, try cycles and hearing aids. Narinder Mittal, President of the Trust welcomed the audience & guests. Suman Gupta, Secretary Trust read out the report for the year 2018-19 & told that during this period 1110 lower limbs, 112 upper limbs, 381 tricycles/wheel chairs, 643 calipers, 763 hearing aids etc were given to physically challenged person free of cost. She further told that since 1996 to till date 54755 artificial limbs and other aids & appliances have been provided to physically challenged persons by holding 1309 camps. During 2018-19 in the polio corrective surgery hospital, 99 operations were done on polio affected persons. The polyclinic section was visited by 11360 patients who were benefited through various modes of treatment like physiotherapy, homeopathy, general medicine, pediatrics, gynea, eye dept., dental, acupressure and acupuncture. 145 handicapped persons were rehabilitated during the same period. In computer training centre 88 students were given training. Narinder Mittal, President of the Trust told that a sum of Rs1.14. crore was spent during this year & majority of fund came from philanthropists & donors. He conveyed his special thanks to donors for their kind support. Ajay Sharma, Finance Secretary of the Trust appraised the gathering about achievements of the Trust and presented balance sheet and profit and loss account of the Trust. He appealed to the gathering to contribute liberally for this cause. Anand Sikkri, Managing Director, Anand Jewellers applauded the excellent work being done by the Trust for the physically challenged persons and assured all help for this noble cause. Vineet Garg in his presidential address congratulated the members of BVP and advised them to further expand as well as improve the facilities. He expressed his confidence that the Trust will achieve greater heights and will diversify its activities in the coming year in its resolve of service to the society in general and physically challenged persons in particular.
