4th academic council meeting accomplished at KMV
Jalandhar, November 25, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organized the 4th meeting of Academic council. The meeting was chaired by Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV and was graced by acclaimed luminaries as members. Dr Kamaljit Singh, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dr N.S. Tung, Professor, Department of Psychology, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dr Jagrup Singh Sekhon, Professor, Department of Political Science, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dr A. Nirmala, Former Principal & Secretary, Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai & Dr Karamjeet Singh, Professor, University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh along with the Deans and Heads of Departments of KMV provided their valuable inputs as members of Academic Council. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV apprised the erudite academicians that new policies have been made to deal with examination and research in order to acquire excellence in teaching and evaluation. The esteemed members lauded all the examination reforms done in KMV under the autonomy as the examination policy at KMV is student-friendly. The worthy members also averred that all the Credit based programmes under Kaushal Kendra are of international standard as college is providing international exposure to its students. The progress of the college under the autonomy was also appreciated by the Academic Council members. This was followed by exhaustive discussions for the implementation of new programmes for students, along with the regular teaching, for their holistic personality development. All the members endorsed that the up-gradation of syllabi and other reforms which had been done by the college after considerable deliberations is very beneficial for the students as college has provided updated syllabus matching the global standards. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that these reforms which meet global standards will help students gain an edge and get assimilated in global education system. Principal appreciated the efforts of Dr. Gopi Sharma, Incharge, Autonomy, Mrs Parminder Kaur, Coordinator, IQAC & all the members of the Academic Council of the college.
