Administration holds training for poll staff on counting exercise and queue management app 

Ludhiana, May 2, 2024: The district administration organized a training workshop for polling staff on Thursday at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, focusing on the vote counting and queue management app. The polling personnel were trained through detailed PowerPoint presentations, demonstrations, and informative video clips on the process of counting votes through EVM and VVPAT.

The trainers emphasized the importance of understanding the counting procedure as per ECI guidelines to ensure a smooth and hassle-free counting process. The trainers urged the polling staff to familiarize themselves with the ECI guidelines and the operationalization of EVMs and VVPATs to avoid any inconsistency during the counting process and ensure a smooth culmination of the electoral process. 

The officials also provided detailed training on a queue management app, which would enable voters to check the real-time status of the queue at their respective polling stations on June 1. They were told how to enter data in the app. 

After the intensive training process, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing officials to clarify any doubts the staff had.
