“Startup India -Punjab Yatra Van” Visited DAVIET

Jalandhar, January 23, 2019: The Government of Punjab, in association with Startup India organized a “Startup India — Punjab Yatra” at DAVIET,Jalandhar. The Aim of this Yatra Van is to spread awareness about the Startup ecosystem and scout aspiring & grass root entrepreneurs. More then 100 Startup Bussiness Ideas have been registered at DAVIET from various colleges including DAVIET,Khalsa Engineering College ,Amritsar,Mehr Chand Polytechnic,Jalandhar etc who are going to attend the BOOT Camp held on 25th Jan,2019 at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University, Main Campus,Kapurthala. The boot camps will present the Government’s initiative to promote startups, ideation workshop and idea pitching sessions. Good ideas from entrepreneurs will be shortlisted from these boot camps to attend an acceleration program. Finally, these shortlisted ideas will pitch at the Grand Finale for incubation offers and incentives by resource partners. Er.Sushil Prashar, Incubation Head informed that more then 40 Business Ideas has been registered by DAVIET students who will going to attend the BOOT Camp at IKGPTU. Dr.Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET stated that the success of selected students stands for the hard work and commitment of DAV administration to provide its students the best possible exposure so that they can make a mark for themselves.
