Jalandhar, May 29, 2019: The day 3 of 7 day NSS camp organised by Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar was successfully concluded with various fun and learning activities organised by the faculty and NSS volunteers.
On the day 3, a painting workshop for the school kids of village Salarpur, which Apeejay has adopted and regularly takes care of, was conducted by Ms Amandeep from the department of Fine Arts.
Other than this, indoor and outdoor games like football, cricket and carrom board were conducted for the school kids. NSS volunteers also donated the various sport related goods as bat, ball, football, carrom etc.
Post lunch, mimicry workshop and 'Nukkar Natak ' was organised by Mr Gurpreet from department of Theatre and a dance and basic aerobics skills were taught to school kids by NSS volunteers Alisha, Kamal and Anjali of B.Com Sem 6.
Principal Dr Sucharita Sharma expressed her ecstasy on learning that how NSS volunteers and faculty members are enthusiastically carrying out these workshops and how school kids were also having fun and enjoying these activities while learning something. She added that such small initiatives can definitely lead up to make our society better by educating them in every manner and through such steps , one day we will achieve our aim of making our country a developed country.
