Guest lecture on ‘Religion and Politics’

Jalandhar, March 19, 2019: An informative guest lecture was organized by the PG Department of Political Science, Lyallpur Khalsa College on the contemporary theme of ‘Religion and Politics’ (in context of Punjab). Dr.Surjeet Singh Narang, Former Head of the Department of Political Science, Guru Nanak Dev University participated in the program as the main speaker and he was duly welcomed to the college by Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra. Speaking on the occasion Principal Dr.Samra called on for a righteous interlinking of Politics and religion much to the benefit of society corresponding a healthy political sphere. In his guest lecture, Dr.Narang shed informative light on the voyage of the parallel streams of religion and politics over the course of centuries gone by. He also enlightened the audience about the deep layers of political terminologies and movements. Vote of thanks to conclude the program was given by Prof. Manpreet Kaur, Head, PG Department of Political Science while the stage was managed by Dr. Harjit Singh. Senior faculty member of the department, Prof. Prabh Dyal also witnessed the program alongside Prof. Anu Moom, Dr. Ajitpal Singh and other faculty members and students of the department.
