Ludhiana, September 17, 2016: Musculoskeletal diseases encompass a diverse group of diseases that are linked by their association with pain and impaired physical function. However, they do not receive the attention they deserve due to the general opinion that they are less life threatening than other well-known diseases, like cancer or AIDS.
Rheumatology, which is the study of these diseases, has been witness to a sea change in terms of both diagnosis and treatment in recent years. It was well attended, with around 160 PG students and doctors from many surrounding medical institutions in Punjab registering for the event. Well known Rheumatologists including Dr.Ved Chaturvedi, Dr.Rohini Handa, Dr.Sujata Sawhney and Dr.Sandeep Puri enlightened the delegates on a number of relevant topics.
