AAP organises Public Awareness Rally on environmental issues

Ludhiana, April 17, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party today organised a Public Awareness Rally in Ludhiana which was led by AAP Youth Wing Punjab president Mr.Harjot Singh Bains, zone coordinator Col.C.M.Lakhanpal (Retd.) and Central Zone observer Aambrish Trikha.
The main objective of the rally was to spread awareness regarding environmental issues and against the corruption and drug menace. It was attended by large number of party volunteers with scooters and motorcycles. The rally moved from Rose Garden, CMC Chowk, Gurudwara Chhevi Patshahi, Baba Than Singh Chowk, Division no. 3, Khwaza Kothi, Iqbal Ganj, Gurudwara Kalgidhar, Field Ganj, Jagraon Bridge, Shahpur Road, sub hand Building, Lakkar Bridge, pratap bazaar and ended at Daresi Ground.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Harjot Singh Bains said that there is rampant corruption and widespread usage of drugs in Punjab and youth is being dragged in this mud instead of giving them employment. He added that farmers are reeling under heavy debt and are committing suicides as they are unable to repay debt. The Government wants to meet personal gains only instead of solving farmer's problem.
Col. Lakhanpal and Mr. Trikha said that large number of people of Punjab are getting attached with the party’s philosophy after observing public welfare programmes launched by Delhi government.
A medical camp was also organised at Basti Jodhewal Chowk under the guidance of Harvinder Happy, which was managed by Dr. Tadbir Sandhu, Atul Dutta, Sukhjivan, Alfred Godwin, Bir Sukhpal Singh, Manpreet Singh, Vinod Bhagat and Barinder Singh.
