Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development Organized at KCL-IMT

Jalandhar, March 14, 2016: Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development was organized by Research Enterpreneurship in KCL-IMT for students of MBA & MCA. Dr.Hardev Singh (Professor, Nottingham University, United Kingdom) graced the occasion as Resource Person.
He was presented token of Gratitude by Dr.S.K Sood (Director, KCLIMT) ,Prof G.K Jain (Vice Principal) ,Prof Ramandeep Singh Deol (HOD, Management ) ,Prof Kamal Nain (HOD,IT) & Dr.Inderpal Singh (Head Media & Public Relations).
Dr.S.K Sood (Director) welcomed the guest & highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in current scenario. He stated that it gives immense pleasure in becoming JOB Giver instead of becoming Job Seeker.
Dr.Hardev Singh guided the students that in Current Scenario, India is a very big market which is showing a growth rate of 7%, therefore there are a lot of opportunities to start new business.
He also stated that Government has also come up with many initiatives such as Make in India, Start Ups etc .It is therefore easy for new entrepreneurs to come up with new ventures.
He motivated the students that they should come up with new business plans which are commercially viable with the help of their Institute and they should get funding of seed capital from Banks .Even they can get help of Local commissioner for this ,who is always ready for such initiatives.
He stated that he will form an Entrepreneurship Development Cell in KCL-IMT along with Nottingham University, in which they will help the students in getting practical skills for developing entrepreneurship & they can also get joint projects with students of Nottingham University.
Prof Ramandeep Singh Deol Presented Vote of thanks in which he highlighted the importance of becoming an entrepreneur and appreciated the speaker for his knowledgeable thoughts .He ensured that students of KCLIMT will certainly take initiative in promoting entrepreneurship.
