Lok Sabha Polls-2024: DEO Sakshi Sawhney exhorts voters to use ECI mobile apps 

District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney on Sunday exhorted the voters of Ludhiana to make maximum use of the mobile voter friendly apps of Election Commission of India (ECI) for ensuring their active participation in electoral processes.

Ludhiana, May 19, 2024: District Election Officer (DEO) Sakshi Sawhney on Sunday exhorted the voters of Ludhiana to make maximum use of the mobile voter friendly apps of Election Commission of India (ECI) for ensuring their active participation in electoral processes. 

Sawhney disclosed that with the changing of times, ECI has launched several voter friendly mobile apps. The apps include c-vigil, KYC, Saksham, Suvidha, voter helpline app, queue management website and etc. 

The DEO added that one of important app is cVIGIL which provides time-stamped, evidence based proof of the Model Code of Conduct / Expenditure Violation, having live photo/video with auto location data. She stated that any citizen can lodge a complaint through the Mobile App following which flying squads investigate the matter and take the decision within 100-minutes.

Through the KYC (Know Your Candidate) app the details about any candidate and the affidavits submitted can be easily accessed.  This app, available for Android and iPhone devices, enables effortless access to candidate information. 

The Suvidha app is a single window system for both candidates and political parties to apply for permissions before conducting meetings, rallies, etc. 

Another android-based mobile app called ‘Voter Helpline ’ provides convenience to all citizens for finding their names in the electoral roll, submitting online forms, checking the status of the application, filing complaints and receiving the reply on their mobile app besides knowing the contact details of Booth Level Officers, Electoral Registration Officers and District Election Officers, by using the Voter Helpline Mobile App or through www.nvsp.in  Portal or by calling 1950 Helpline Number.

In the Saksham app, the PWD voters and senior citizens can register themselves and can avail the facilities like wheelchairs, transportation, and volunteer facilities for their convenience on the polling day.  The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and App Store.
