Administration holds training for poll staff regarding EVM/VVPAT, counting exercise and 'voteforludhiana.in' website 

Ludhiana, May 19, 2024: The district administration organized a second training workshop for polling staff regarding EVM/VVPAT machines, counting of votes and functioning of 'voteforludhiana.in' website.

The training workshops were organised by the Assistant Returning Officers (ARO) in their respective assembly constituencies on Sunday.

The polling personnel were trained through detailed PowerPoint presentations, demonstrations, and informative video clips regarding the process of counting votes through EVM and VVPAT machines. The trainers emphasized the importance of understanding the counting procedure as per ECI guidelines to ensure a smooth and hassle-free counting process. The trainers urged the polling staff to familiarize themselves with the ECI guidelines and the functioning of EVMs and VVPATs to avoid any inconsistency during the counting process. 

The officials also provided detailed training regarding the functioning of 'voteforludhiana.in' website, which has been launched by administration for facilitating the residents on polling day (June 1). The website will enable voters to check the real-time status of the queue/crowd at their respective polling stations on June 1. The polling staff were given training regarding how to update the data on the website. 

After the intensive training process, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing officials to clarify any doubts.
