Ludhiana, October 29, 2018: CT University (CTU) hosted a two day International workshop on Behavioural Paediatric Eye Care and Vision Therapy in association with Indian Optometry Association, India and Optometry Extension Programme Foundation, USA.

The keynote speaker was Dr Andrian Bell, Behavioural Optometrist from Australia. He was accompanied by Dr Rajeev Prashad, Secretary, Indian Optometry Association and Himanshu Tripathi, North Representative of Optometry Extension Programme Foundation. The workshop was attended by students and practitioners of the same field who were given live demonstration on patients using various instruments by the expert.

Welcoming the experts and participants, Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor said that CT University is keen to have such workshops as it has been giving focus on health care programmes and has developed collaborative tie-ups with various healthcare organizations in the areas of health care education, research and creation of social awareness.

Dr Adrian delivered a series of talks with video presentations showcasing the historical background and latest developments in this area of paediatric eye healthcare.

During the workshop Dr Bell talked about various treatment trends available in the same field. Addressing the practitioners, he narrated that new advancements and innovative developments are taking place in healthcare science and profession when everything is done with precision and sophistication. Dr Adrian elaborated that now the level of specialization has touched newer heights and a number of dedicated high impact journals are brought out on this very important subject of healthcare including behavioural optometry and vision therapy.

Managing Director, Manbir Singh said that CTU is honoured to host such a meaningful learning workshop by renowned experts. He thanked the experts for sharing their views regarding latest instrument techniques used in this field and for providing them hands-on-experience in using the instruments and procedures.
