A WALK DOWN THE MEMORY LANE AT UIPS

Chandigarh, December 24, 2018: University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences(UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh organized the Annual Class Reunion-cum-Alumni Meet for Diamond (B.Pharm 1958), Golden (B.Pharm 1968) and Silver Jubilee Batches (B.Pharm 1993, M.Pharm 1995, Ph.D 1993), here today.
Professor T.R.Juneja from the diamond batch and former Chairman, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Ex-Director Principal Seth G.L. Bihani S.D. College of Technical Education, Rajasthan presided over the function. Alongwith Prof Juneja, four Alumni from the Golden Jubilee batch and sixteen alumni from the Silver Jubilee batch attended the event with great fervor.The ceremony beganwith a Welcome Address by Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Chairperson, UIPS & President, PUPS. She designated Alumni as brand Ambassadors of any institute who play a pivotal role in defining the future of any institution. She appealed to alumni to involve more actively in activities of the institute and serve their alma-mater professionally and financially to build UIPS a world class Institute.
The function proceeded with a Glimpse of 74 Glorious Years of UIPS and the Reminiscences of the 25/50/60 years sojourn in UIPS. The alumni also interacted with students and motivated them to achieve great heights in their profession.They also addressed their queries with respect to the career opportunities of the profession. A colorful cultural evening was also organized by the students of UIPS, which left the pass outs spellbound.The event became a grand success and all the alumni and the management team carried sweet memories with them to their places.The well organised programme was convened by Prof Ranju Bansal of UIPS.
